Synopsis
During the Joseon Dynasty Kang Dan Sim was known as a clever and dangerous royal concubine. Many feared her because of her ambition and strong personality. After being accused of serious crimes inside the royal palace, she is sentenced to death by poison. But instead of disappearing forever, something unexpected happens.
Dan Sim suddenly wakes up in modern-day Korea inside the body of Shin Seo Ri a struggling actress living a completely different life. Confused by cars, smartphones, cameras and modern society she tries to survive in this strange new world while still carrying the mindset of a Joseon-era woman.
As she adjusts to modern life she crosses paths with Cha Se Gye a cold and arrogant chaebol heir who cares only about business and success. Their first meetings are filled with arguments and misunderstandings but slowly they begin to affect each others lives in unexpected ways. While Dan Sim tries to change her fate and uncover the truth behind her past Se Gye begins to see a side of himself he never noticed before.
